Smoothie Plus
Smoothie® Plus is a powerful and complete demand management solution. It combines the Pivot Forecasting® and data-based demand management of Smoothie with additional demand planning functionality like support for promotions, variable price/cost conversions, spreadsheet collaboration and alternative units of measure.
Smoothie Plus is rich in functionality, yet it is surprisingly easy to
use. In fact, many companies are able to begin using it immediately and
with little or no consulting assistance. It includes all of the features of Smoothie, plus these additional features:
- Adjust and analyze plans using conversions like price, cost, margin, or alternative units of measure. Adjust prices and costs to integrate demand plans with financial planning processes.
- Enhanced forecast collaboration using Excel and email, or advanced graphics and un-tethered demand collaboration with Smoothie Mambo and Smoothie Collaborators.
- Best in class forecast performance analysis, sales and portfolio analysis with Pivot Maps™ (see image at right).
- Enhanced forecasting for promoted items automatically deducts promotional quantities from forecasted history to produce an accurate baseline forecast. Then, it adds promoted quantities to future forecasts. Promotions can be managed at aggregate levels and automatically allocated to the products or customers within a group. Visibility and proper handling for promotions is enabled throughout all levels of aggregation, so you can see baseline as well as promoted demand whether you're working with customer, channel, or product aggregations.
- Support for drilling down into order-level details to analyze demand history, period-to-date sales and open demand orders.
- Easy identification of items/customers where current period sales and bookings are above or below forecast (as well as dozens of other useful pre-defined or ad hoc exceptions).
Smoothie's outlier detection, exception filtering and automatic performance evaluation make it easy to identify unusual events that may have affected past demand. Past sales forecasts, budgets, customer POS and final consensus plans are all visible and easy to compare at any level of aggregation.
You can easily switch between
alternative measures such as price and cost. This allows your team to
align their views of the business, with sales focusing on revenue,
manufacturing and logistics on units, etc. You can even change the prices and costs with effective dates to align the operational and financial aspects of your organization.
