Smoothie® Mambo installs on a server to automate integration and synchronize the demand and supply planning activities of multiple Smoothie users. With Smoothie Mambo, users can easily get the latest data from the server, work on it locally, then send their results back to the server when they're done. The synchronization approach is similar to the way users synchronize with their corporate email server, allowing them to work on a plane or in a hotel room without being connected to the corporate network, then synchronize with the host server when it's convenient.

The server controls the information that users can view and modify. For example, one user may be able to see any items or customer demand in the model, but only update plans for a certain group. It also controls the elements of the main plan that they can receive or send back to the server.
